Jenn Jansen is a textile artist and writer rooted in the heathlands of Drenthe, in the northern Netherlands. Her practice draws from the region’s landscape and rhythms: quiet expanses, cycles of growth and decay, and the textures of local plants, flowers, and stones. Working with natural fibers and colors sourced from this environment, she develops textile works and writings that engage questions of authenticity, connection and belonging, using metaphor as a way of making meaning through the natural world. Her work mirrors the northern landscape itself-layered, resilient, and cyclical-where reflection and making remain inseparable acts of grounding and transformation.
